Free review reply generator for restaurants and hotels
A one-star review lands in the middle of service and you don't have time to write a calm reply. Paste the review into ReplyHost, pick a tone, and get a draft you can edit and post. It's free while we're in beta.
Why replies matter
Guests read your replies, not just the reviews. In BrightLocal's 2026 local consumer review survey:
- 89% of consumers expect business owners to respond to reviews.
- 80% are likely to use a business that responds to all its reviews, and 42% are unlikely to use one that never replies.
- 19% expect a reply the same day (up from 6% the year before), and 81% expect one within a week.
- Templated or generic replies make 50% of consumers unlikely to choose the business.
So the job is to reply to every review, quickly, without sounding like a template. Doing that by hand after a 12-hour shift is hard. That's the job ReplyHost helps with.
How it works
- Paste the review. Copy it from Google, Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Airbnb or anywhere else, and paste it in.
- Pick a tone. Warm, professional or upbeat: choose what fits your venue and the guest.
- Copy, edit, post. Read the draft, add a personal detail (the guest's name, the dish, the room), then paste it into the review site yourself.
Honest limits
- ReplyHost does not connect to Google, Tripadvisor or any other review site. It doesn't read your reviews and it never posts anything. You copy and paste.
- You approve every draft. Nothing goes out unless you post it. Read each reply before it goes live.
- Check that the reply makes no promises you can't keep. If a draft offers a refund, a free meal or a fix you haven't agreed to, delete that line. A reply should only say what's true.
- It's free during beta. We'll give you clear notice before anything changes.

FAQ
How do I respond to a negative restaurant review?
Reply within a day or two. Thank the guest, name the specific problem, apologise for their experience without arguing, say what you're doing about it, and offer to continue offline (give an email or phone number). Keep it short. ReplyHost drafts follow this structure, and you add the specifics.
How do I respond to a bad review when the customer is wrong?
Stay calm and stick to the facts. You're writing for the next guest, not to win the argument. Thank them, politely correct the record in one sentence ("Our kitchen closes at 10pm, so we couldn't take the order at 10:20"), and invite them back. Don't share private details of the booking in public.
How do I respond to a review that isn't true?
Reply briefly and politely so readers see your side. You can say you can't find a record of the visit and ask the reviewer to contact you directly. If the review breaks the site's rules (for example a fake review or a competitor), report it through that site's own flagging process. We can't remove reviews, and neither can ReplyHost.
Should I reply to 5-star reviews too?
Yes. BrightLocal's local consumer review survey found consumers are far more likely to use a business that responds to all reviews than one that replies only to good or only to bad ones. A short, specific thank-you that mentions what they enjoyed is enough.
Does ReplyHost post replies to Google or Booking.com for me?
No. It writes a draft for you to copy. It doesn't connect to any review site, so you stay in control of what's posted under your name.
Is the review reply generator really free?
Yes, ReplyHost is free during beta. If that changes, we'll say so clearly on this page first.
Is it OK to use AI to reply to reviews?
It's fine as a starting point, as long as a person reads and edits each reply. Half of consumers are put off by generic, templated replies (BrightLocal, link above), so always add a real detail from the guest's visit.
Got a review you've been putting off?
Paste it in and have a reply ready in under a minute.
Next problem to fix
Once replies are moving, the next queues are usually the phone and guest messages.
